Thank you so much for your note with additional information on how to best use your product. I bought the yellow and green Scotchbrite pads, and used them several times in conjunction with your product. I’m very happy to say that after several uses, there is only a small shadow of a ring in both toilets. Later I’ll do a number of additional treatments with the Scotchbrite pad, and may be able to remove even that remaining shadow.
I’m so pleased that the two toilets are 90% better looking, after I’ve struggled to deal with this for years. I really appreciate and thank you for your note, and will leave a positive review on your website. Thank you so much.

After trying EdFred products at home, I thought it might make a big difference in our exhibit “Water Ways.” Typically, this exhibit is running constantly for 6 hours a day, 7 days a week. Although the water is filtered and treated in a number of ways, this doesn’t stop the build-up of limescale on our clear acrylics and corian. The Shower Stall and Tile Cleaner worked perfectly. I don’t think the acrylic has looked this good in over a decade.
Other employees had tried CLR with some success in the past, but nothing close to these results. Where hard scrubbing and polishing was necessary with other products, it only took a few light passes with a damp rag to remove the coarsest limescale. The Exhibits Department has now added EdFred products to our routine maintenance plans at the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose.
If you have followed the directions and are having any issues gives us a call or send an email. We are happy to walk you through using our products.

Arthur at the Toto technician help recommended your product to me after helping me order parts for the Aquia toilet that I needed. I then told him about the yucky brown stains at the bottom of the toilet and how it really bothered me that I now had to use those bleach tablets in the tank. He told me that the only product he uses on toilets was EDFRED. So I went on line to see about ordering and found your products were available at Orchard and Ace. I immediately went down and got the shower and toilet cleaner Arthur told me about. WOW!!! Have used many stinky products and hours to try to get shower glass clean–10minutes to wipe and rinse and so clean. The toilet in 10 minutes. Could no longer see any brown, yellow yuk. You have a customer for life. Told my neighbor and gave her some to try–you have another one. Told a friend and same thing. Your product is awesome!! But I would never have known about it if Arthur hadn’t told me. So I just wanted to let you know about him-he’s in Florida and he says he always orders your stuff. You have a wonderful product. Thank you.

I am totally amazed! I don’t usually do reviews, but I have these old and horrible bathtub shower doors that I had given up on. This stuff worked! You may need more than one application and a little elbow grease, but you can see results! Why am I 64 years old and first hearing about this stuff? My local Ace carries the tile and tub cleaner and said they could order the toilet cleaner which I will definitely also try. I still can’t believe how great my glass doors look!

Edfred is the only toilet bowl cleaner I have ever used that was worth going to the trouble to find another bottle. The corporation even helped me to find a store when I struck out locating it at first.
Nice to do business with an ethical company.

Eric,
I assume you are following the directions. The next question would be are you trying to remove soap scum and/or surface water mineral build up? I ask that because what may look like mineral deposit could be some other type of damage over the years that has changed the stall surface. This sometimes happens on aged fiberglass stalls.
Try applying several times with a Scotchbrite pad, leave on longer, but do not let it dry. Scrub with the mildly abrasive pad. If there is mineral on the surface it will surely remove it.

Thanks for the report and glad to have you “in the club”. You actually probably did not even to use the scouring pad – often a few swishes with a toilet brush will finish the job!

Really did not know what I was going to do with the rust/crud stain under the rim of the toilet. I happened to come across your product at OSH. I just used it for the first time. I let it stand for 10 plus minutes and then I took a 3M green scrub sponge and off everything came. It did everything you claimed it would do. A real find!
EstherFebruary 27, 2016, 12:28 am
I have purchased the EdFred toilet bowl cleaner from OSH quite a few times in the last year or so, & I really like it. It doesn’t have a horrible smell & it really works to remove the ring & water stains. Its a great product. Thank-you for creating it!

I needed a hard water stain remover and saw Edfred at the local drugstore. I thought it was a funky name, never heard of it but I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did! Truly it’s the best product out there. I’ve tried CLR and other hard water cleaners but none of them come close to the power of Edfred. I actually used up the last of my bottle last month. I was bummed because I couldn’t remember where I bought it and didn’t see it in the grocery store so I went online and found it on Amazon. After I purchased it (and paid a lot for it) I found EdFred online. The owner was nice enough to email me (unsolicited) to tell me where I could more affordable purchase his product. How often do you get a personal email from the owner. Just sayin’ A fabulous product AND great customer service. You can’t ask for more than that. P.S. I don’t normally have time to write reviews of products but I strongly believe in this one. Try it for yourself. You’ve got nothing to lose but a cleaner, film free bathroom!

I spoke to them before this incident hoping to have them help serve the East Coast consumer. They do not understand the regulations and were not interested in my explanation. There are plenty of others who happily ship via UPS and FedEx, including our site http://www.edfredstore.com and Ebay sellers.
Cleaners such as this can ship by ground, just needs a black diamond “Limited Quantity” sticker. Simple.
GeorgeJanuary 20, 2016, 8:10 am
Was shocked and saddened when long-time supplier Midland True Value Hardware advised they can no longer ship EdFred Shower and Tile Cleaner because it is now considered “HAZMAT” material. (If it is truly Hazmat, that would imply that might be dangerous for domestic use too.) Why does it suddenly qualify for a Hazmat designation?
If EdFred Corp. wishes to review this, here is the email I received from Midland True Value regarding my current order:
I am terribly sorry your item has not shipped the item you ordered is considered Hazmat and we can not ship this item. I have marked your order for a full refund.

Dearest Mr. Brown,
Thank you so much for your response! I cannot begin to tell you how much I love your product. You are welcome to use my Yelp review, my Facebook post, whatever. I will write whomever about your miracle product. I wish I had found it years ago.
I have told everyone who will listen about it so hopefully they all go out and buy it 🙂 Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

I cannot begin to thank you for making EdFred Toilet Bowl Cleaner. We have hard, orange ish water and my toilet bowls were a nightmare. I was embarrassed, however, nothing I used completely cleaned my toilets. This did. The nice lady at Ace Hardware in Morgan Hill, California HIGHLY recommended your product and I am SO happy I took her advice. I am now shouting from the rooftops and to anyone who will listen how AWESOME your product is. SO THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am absolutely certain I will never have to use another product but yours again.
We moved in to a new home and for over two years I have attempted to remove existing hard water stains from all kitchen and bathroom fixtures and a stubborn stain in my daughters tub. I applied your product and waited the required two minutes and was simply amazed. Everything looked brand new. I was so excited I woke the wife and daughter up to show them.
Chemists Ed and Fred created magic in a bottle decades ago. Have no doubt I am telling and showing everyone how awesome the products are.
EdFred, I am a HUGE fan of. I can not express how impressed I am with your products. They are simply amazing.

If you are getting the results that you want then that is fine. All acid type cleaners could leave a haze on stone surfaces, even the more gently type such as ours. It usually shows up when the surfaces dry. Our main concern is indoor stone where any type of blemish from use could be unacceptable.
It sounds like you have tested your method and you are not experiencing those issues.
GwynnFebruary 10, 2015, 12:54 pm
I have a pint bottle of EDFRED Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner which I tried out on the stones around the perimeter of my fresh water cement pond. The water source is a well which is heavy with calcium, and in the last couple of years, with what I believe to be gypsum. I had been using muriatic acid to remove the calcium deposits on the stones, but it is harsh and eroding the mortar. Also, it has no effect on the gypsum. Your product seemed to work without the harsh side effects, and I appreciate the fact that it is biodegradable! However, your product description said to NOT use on stone. Would you please tell me why? The stones are metamorphic river stones of various kinds, plus a slate pathway. Thank you, Gwynn

My sister introduced me the your product, Ed-Fres years ago. There is nothing like it! I had been living in an apartment and could not get the hard water deposit out of the toilet bowl. I emptied the water from the bowl and soaked paper towels in the Ed Fred and stuck it to the hard wages ring to soak while I wnt off to work. When I came home 95% of the ring was gone! The next treatment cleaned off the remainder in about 10 minutes. This is the best stuff ever!

Shower Stall and Tile Cleaner – EXCELLENT!
Thank you for this exceptional product. I have thrown away 10 years of TERRIBLE toilet bowl cleaners. EdFred is even removing the stains from THOSE products!!
I can’t thank you enough. I will tell all my friends. I am going back to OSH and buy a bigger size, never want to run out of this.

The discoloration in our toilet bowls was driving me crazy because I had tried several things to make them white again. Used EdFred’s product and the results were outstanding. Have recommended them to several friends, including one who has a vacation home on a ranch that she believes will be helped by using this in their bathrooms. Really appreciate finding a great product like this.

Ed Fred – WoW!!! I was introduced to the Shower Stall and Tile Cleaner and was so impressed with the results. Works Fast and effectively. I just ordered the Toilet Bowl and Garage & Driveway cleaner. Looking forward to great results, as well. I ordered on line from Edfredstore.com, it was simple and they give quantity breaks on cases, you can even mix and match. There customer service is personal, friendly & greatly appreciated. My faith & hope is restored knowing exceptional people/companies like this still exist.

We received this email complaint about our Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner and thought it should be posted for others, as we hear this type of comment on occasion:
“I’m disappointed to say that your cleaner did absolutely nothing, even after I scraped the bathroom tub doors with a razor blade. And on top of that! It left a strange film that made the shower doors look worse than before. On to the next.”
Our response was to contact us by phone or email and let us know the type of surface and how the product is being used to help solve the problem. As always we offered a full refund if requested. We did not hear back, but this is what could have happened:
1. Not following directions on the bottle. The surfaces for use are listed, and instructions for proper surface contact are given. A delayed or poor rinse might have been the film mentioned.
2. If this was a glass door that has not been cleaned for a very long time the minerals could have etched the glass. This is not something that a lime removing cleaner can handle, and polishing or replacement might be required. This cleaner will always have a reaction to contact with lime, and it will fizz and bubble. Simple chemistry.
3. The cleaner may have been diluted with water, or some other issue. We like to inspect the product and will pay for it’s return to us for inspection and replacement at no cost to our customer.
Have been using EdFred toilet bowl cleaner for years. No other compares with getting out rings and stains. There is absolutely no reason to spend time in the toilet with a pumice stone.

I bought my first bottle back in 1996 from OSH. My project was cleaning up a fixer upper with fiberglass showers and tubs. The salesman at Osh really pushed me to buy it. That was the best thing I did to start getting the house in shape. I’m on my 3rd home now and just ordered more to get rid of the water spots on the shower glass. This the only cleaner I use for showers and toilets. I have also used on the portable spa we have. I had drained and let it sit got really ugly inside. One wash with ED Fred and all the lime was gone from the tile. Thanks for such great products.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner
Didn’t think it would work on my calcified toilet. Emptied the bowl with a wet-dry vac then let it soak in the goo for 10-15 minutes. Scrubbed with a plastic brush and the mineral deposits started flaking off. Repeated the process once and was able to flake off all the deposits. Now my bowl is clean!

We bought your product at Lumber City at least 20 years ago. They have been out of business at least that long. Our maid boldly put it on the counter this last week and said “please get more. It really cleans well.” I didn’t even know we had it and didn’t know where to get it or if it was still available. It’s all quite humorous. We will spread the word, and will continue to buy it by popular demand.

We had tried all kinds of scouring powders, household cleaners, etc. on our shower stall when we had moved into our home in NC quite a few years ago. One day my husband found an old bottle of Edfred shower & stall cleaner out in the garage. We tried some on a sponge in the shower stall, waited a few minutes, then cleaner it off. Amazingly it left the shower wall absolutely clean. Smelled fresh & clean and we have never wanted to use any other product except that shower & stall cleaner on everything in the bathroom. Fantastic product. Thank you.

I have used EDFRED after rotator cuff surgery in the past. Being I had difficulties cleaning the tub and toilet, EDFRED did the hard work for me. Had another rotator surgery as of late and finally found EDFRED near where I live. Cant wait to surprise my husband…with a clean bathroom.:)))

So glad to find Edfred on line. I had not been able to find the Edfred toilet bowl cleaner for a long time and it is super. Ordered serveral on line and received it in just a few days. Very happy to find your products on line. Thanks!!!
The Rice Experiment Station located near Highway 99 between Sacramento and Chico. We have very hard water from our well, so we have a water softener which really makes spots on our stainless steel sinks and the drinking fountain. I brought my EdFred Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner from home and used it and was able to get the drinking fountain looking almost new again.
Our Pathologist found that he can soak the little plastic stakes he uses in his planting pots in EdFred and it cleans them better that any other product he has tried, and without elbow grease!
Since we recently remodeled our office and got new stainless steel sinks (who named them ‘Stainless”!), I wanted to get a large supply of EdFred so I can keep the sinks looking new.
I have bragged about your product for over 20 years! Thank you.

Sandy,
For cleaning leather you could try our Liquid Garage & Driveway Cleaner. Diluted it makes a gently all purpose cleaner. Just be sure to try it out on a small area first, as we have not tested this product for leather.
Just used the Shower stall and tile cleaner and was astonished! The product is the best I have ever used and believe me, I have used a lot! I washed the scum away. Not a bit of scrubbing. Can not wait to use other products. I too live have a home in Mn and just called the local Ace store and was told they do not carry the product. I would love to show it off there. I will order 4 gallons and have it shipped so I can give to all my relatives and friends! Please develop a leather cleaner!
Great Product!

In 2008 I bought a 70’s townhouse in an area with hard water. The toilets were stained and I tried lots of scrubbing products with no real results. I tried EdFred toilet cleaner this weekend and within minutes I saw a change. Wow! Looks like I won’t be saving up for new toilets. Thanks.

I recently used 16 Oz to clean my exterior windows which had sprinkler spray calcify them pretty bad. Windex would not cut through the build up of the hard water, but Edfred’s did the trick!
Your product is a miracle in a bottle and I will be giving a gallon each to my parents and in laws for Christmas :). You have a great product, I just wish you had a better supply chain as Ace locally did not carry it and OSH was sold out last time I drove the 15 miles to get some.
Have a good holiday and thanks again for such a great product which does what it says, which is sure rare these days.

My wife bought a bottle of Edfred ( she still has a few drops left in the original bottle) at our local Ernst Hardware store, when we first moved to this area in 1978. The water here is (violently/extremely) hard and she was looking for something to get it off our outside windows.
She had tried all of the name brands and as a last resort bought a bottle of Edfred. She used it on a wet mop and applied it to the windows. She waited 2 minutes and I heard a screams coming from the front yard.
Not only had it removed years of hard water deposits, she didn’t even have to wipe it off. It dried sparkling clean.
When Ernst went out of business 20 years ago she lost her supplier and has been searching for your product ever since.
She tried Easy Off Bam, Bring It On, Fuller Brush Bath Clean, Scrubbing Bubbles Mega Shower, Amway Tub And Tile,CLR, Mr. Clean Bath Scrubber, Limeaway, etc…………
We have wasted hundreds of dollars. Our daughter found your web site on the computer after looking for 10 seconds. Needless to say my wife is walking on cloud nine.
My most sincere thanks, Lee Leingang

I am having so much “fun” cleaning everywhere with my EdFred products and I’ve found that it’s contagious! My mom, who was with me back in the day when we bought our first EdFred products from Fedco, actually checked her cabinet and found several bottles that she forgot she had. Needless to say, she’s been cleaning with EdFred again too and her 25 year old (or however long ago it was when we bought it) products are still good and working perfectly.
One of her bottles even still had the price on it – $1.45!!! That’s crazy. = ) I’m glad your family company was able to spring back and I’m happy to know I will be able to shop at Ace Hardware and Orchard Supply to get more!!!

Cliff,
Thanks for the feedback. You can always contact us for help on our products. We have not posted a video to date of using our products – not sure what you are referring to.
When used as directed against soap scum, lime and rust we have a good track record if the directions are read and followed. You Do still have to scrub with maybe a ScotchBrite pad.
You may have not applied with just a damp, not soaked sponge. Try some full strength for a longer time to make sure you did not dilute the product. Try it on a crusty fixture. It will fizz and you can see it working. It is not magic, just basic science.
In any case, for whatever reason if the product does not meet your particular expectation we will cheerfully honor our double money back guarantee including shipping.

Just tried my EDFRED shower stall cleaner i purchased directly from edfred corp. I saw the video of the shower cleaning and was amazed. So i bought some to try for myself. Did half my shower door glass to try and see the difference. Did not work at all does not remove soap scum could not even tell the clean side from the dirty side. Its basically worthless. Plain water works as good as this cleaner. Also purchased the toilet bowl cleaner will review it later. Save your money, as we all know if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Lesson learned. God Bless

The Edfred shower stall and tile cleaner is a mainstay in our house. My mother in law referred me to this product and it is a must have! It makes cleaning so easy.
My daughter is off at college and called me about the shower in her rental house. I told her that Edfred is the only answer. We’re making this a three generation product!
Thanks for making bathroom clean up so much less work so I have more time to play!

I love Edfred’s! I have been using it for over 20 years. I used to do professional housekeeping. I always had it with me. It keeps faucets and sinks looking new. It keeps hard water from building up in toilets.
I moved to Oregon several years ago and was unable to purchase it so I tried another product with the same chemicals(I thought) and it took the chrome finish off my faucets. I buy the product whenever I return to California or I buy online. I have recommended it to my friends and we buy a case together. I won’t use anything else.

I was so thrilled that I gave my staff bottles of the shower and the toilet cleaner…..I laughed and told them they would love it….they snickered at me….but, after the next weekend, my receptionist came in and said she went crazy cleaning all of her toilets….it worked so well, it was fun….her boyfriend thought she was crazy, but I totally understood the euphoria….

I purchased Ed Fred tile cleaner from a Ace hardware here in Mesa, AZ. a few years ago to clean the water stains from my cut glass goblets, but in doing so, I found the best scum remover ever!
At the store where I work we had some water sprinklers that were hitting some black tinted windows. Over time they were messy white encrusted windows baked in the AZ sun.
I took my bottle of Ed Fred where my manager sparingly used what was left in the bottle, and got them shiny black again.

I received your products and tried the “Original Shower Stall and Tile Cleaner” on my fiberglass surround bath. There was a lot of soap scum buildup so it took a little effort to get down to the surface. But, it shines like a polished surface now.
I’ve tried just about every product out there and they all make claims to be the best cleaner but after trying your products I can say they do work.
I will be back for more when my supply is gone.
Thanks for great products.

I am so glad I found Edfred. I have been a long time user of your products, both personally and in my working years. I was a real estate property manager (apt. manager) for almost 40 years, and I made sure my crew had Edfred on hand for the cleaning of the apartments.
If I remember correctly, you used to have an office on Tully Road in San Jose, and I used to sent my guys there for the gal. sized of the Edfred products.
When I moved from the San Jose area to the high desert, I couldn’t find it. After growling about it for a very long time, I finally thought to look on the internet, and there you were.
I love your products. They really do the job for which they are intended.

Should work great on any plastic or fiberglass for removing soap scum or hard stains. Over time lime, calcium, minerals and soap that reacts with them build up. This is what this product was designed for.
I am not sure why it would be a black film, maybe it is a black mold.
Our Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner is the product to use. We have been making that formula for 45 years!
QuestionsFebruary 27, 2011, 5:01 pm
Has anyone had any experience with using this product on the plastic shower pans and tubs? I have a black film building up and have tried everything to get rid of it. I did see the photos for the glass, which I am excited to see if this product works on my shower doors as well. Please let me know if you have had success with the product on shower floors.

I was going to place a special order for the gallon size at Osh as your website suggests, but the discount offered at your online store was too good to pass up. I like that you can mix and match different products to get the discount, so I am trying out a couple of your other products as well.
We have a mid century modern home built in 1958 and the Shower Stall and Tile cleaner did a really great job of cleaning our concrete walkways and making them look new. Thank you!

Mrs. Best,
We asked DoIt Centers to get back to verify their stock. We will update our site with their response when we receive it.

I have four houses and I don’t know how many bath toilets to clean. I just put your cleaner in each bowl and leave for two hours. Then I come back and quickly brush and flush – all toilet bowl rust or lime water ring is gone. My review has also been posted on edfredstore.com. It is the only product that works in the whole world.
Please contact DoIt Center in Valencia, CA and confirm that they still carry your products.

Since living in San Antonio, Texas since 1986, I have found only two products that work on our very hard water stains.Edfred Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner and Edfred Toilet Bowl Cleaner.
All the other products that I tried appear to work, until after the tile drys and there still is soap scum..with one application of the Tile cleaner my shower and bath tub are clean to the bone. There is no need for multiple applications. Edfred Toilet Bowl Cleaner- also cuts through the hard water “ring” with one dose.
I love this product so much I buy it and have it shipped to my house in San Antonio, because no one in the area carries it anymore….don’t mess with the rest..try the best…Edfred….karen king

I live in Dallas, Texas and have tried to locate a retailer where I can buy the toilet cleaner and shower cleaner. My mother-in-law swears by your product and has me wanting to try it, too!
Yes, I did find a local Ace (and talked to the right
person) who is pulling it from the warehouse for me. Thanks for taking the
time to get back with me.

I’ve used this product for over 21 years and it has made my life so much easier.
I just wish the Wal-Mart stores in Reno, Nevada would carry this product.
Everyone should know about this amazing product if you have well water. Removes the red iron and lime deposits.
Thanks,

Just an FYI – I lived in Los Gatos/San Jose area for 37 years – consider it my home. Live in Austin now and MISS Orchard Supply Hardware very much. But, another friend who lives here and is also from San Jose is the one who told me about your product (hence, my recent purchase).
She has family there that usually buys it and brings it to her when they visit. I am going to give her a couple of bottles of the Toilet Bowl Cleaner so she can try it and possibly pass it on to her daughter.
Hopefully they will like it enough to buy it also – now that we know about the website, life is easier!

1, Add a lemon, grapefruit, orange or some other citrusy scent.
2, Add PayPal as a payment option at the online store.

Want to hear my story about Ed, Fred, & me? OK!
Thirty-plus years ago I was a stay at home mom. For extra spending money I decided to do a little housekeeping a couple of days a week. A couple of my customers were “dairy folks” in Chino, CA. They used Edfred for their showers and so I began using it.
My business grew quite a bit (people love having a clean-freak for a housekeeper) And this clean freak loved Edfred. I bought it at Fedco, which has been out of business for years now. I guess I just never knew where to buy it after Fedco closed because I haven’t used it for many years.
Well, my husband now, God love him, refuses to squeegee a shower and my clear glass doors look spotted all the time and the products I buy smell horrible and burn my eyes. As I was driving to work the other day I thought about Edfred! I wondered if it was still available and knew if it was I could find it on the internet!! (I love that!)
So Ed, Fred and I are reunited and I have already sold it to my boss who has a boat, my co-worker and one of our customers who does housekeeping! I called her the minute I found it on-line. That’s why I ordered six, plus I wanted the discount (Well, it paid for the shipping!) The price is way up since 1980, but I know it
will be worth it!
Hey! if you need a rep in So Cal, I’m your gal!!

Rose,
The Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner that your ordered is amazing as a dingy white grout cleaner. For that lime or calcium hard water ring on your toilet bowl be sure to try our Cling N Clean.
You can order the 2 oz trial sizes at the online store, link at top of page. We usually have a special running on those where we pay the shipping.
Thank you. I am currently retiring my years of employment at a University to launch my Professional Organizing business…Fly Away Clutter. I will most certainly recommend your product to my clients. I can’t believe how good my floor looks. One would have thought my grout was dark gray when in fact it is white and now shines white! Is there ways for me to get samples of all your products.
Thank you

Thank you for such loyal support.
We have no plans to discontinue any products. They been popular for the last 45 years, were are hoping for another 45!
But as always we are dependent on friends telling friends. Also parents telling their children, to raise up the next generation of our no less than fanatical users.

Since 2001, I have been a huge fan of EdFred’s Kling n’ Clean toilet bowl cleaner. I was having a party and had tried everything to clean the calcium and lime deposit ring around my toilets. A few days before a party, I decided I would remove the rings with a scouring pad, but that did nothing but add black marks to the ring. I asked a co worker what she used, since I never heard her complaining about this problem with her toilets. She just smiled and told me she would bring me the solution tomorrow. True to her word, she brought me a bottle of EdFred. I went home that evening, followed the directions, and could not believe that with a swish of the toilet brush the calcium and lime ring stains were gone. I have not used anything else since. Thank you for your amazing products! (This review is also posted at http://www.edfredstore.com)

I am assuming you are referring to the Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner. The driveway cleaner is a completely different formula designed for grease, fat and oil.
You can buy online, even just a trial size to test it if you want. Let us know your results.

When I moved to VA 22 years ago, I brought from California my EDFRED Tile and Shower cleaner. Here in VA, the dirt is red clay and after a while in our new house, the tile grout was red…your product took it all out without scrubbing. I have had a hard time finding this product here. I had a little left and used the last of it (20 years old product) in my daughters bathroom and her tiles and grout look like brand new. I have never ever found a product that not only cleans for real, but without having to scrub.

To Phil & anyone else who’s interested…EdFred’s products are wonderful… ESPECIALLY the driveway cleaner!
I can’t imagine someone saying they don’t like them. In fact, the driveway cleaner was so incredibly effective that after the 1st time I used it, I took the time to write to the owner of the company (way before BLOG days) to tell him thanks for developing a product that worked wonders & kept our environment clean. I had used the driveway cleaner on my backpatio & driveway to get up old rust stains & all kinds of marks that were there for a long time. The product was incredibly effective! Try it; you’ll like it!

Karen,
If you have a favorite hardware store or maybe a smaller grocery store let me know. I will give them a call and see if they will bring it in.
The larger chains take longer to get into but local retailers are always looking for something unusual to bring customers through their doors. Either post the info here or submit an email through the “Contact” button at the top of the page.
Thanks for being so loyal to our products!

We have a rental house in CA and thought we were going to have to buy a new shower pan it was so dirty! We tried everything and inhaled horrible fumes of other products. Our friend suggested “his mother uses this product call Edfred.” I found some and couldn’t believe how with little effort and 2 minutes of Edfred the shower looked great! Now I am trying to find some in MN for my own shower, couldn’t bring it home in carry-on due to airline regulations. I ordered online but would still like to know where I can buy it here in MN .

We have used EDFRED for years, and this product never failed! The secret is to attack the oil right away not let it set for months. Our driveway looks like the day it did when we bought it 30 years ago.
adminSeptember 10, 2009, 1:40 pm
Phil,
We sell a lot of that product, especially through Orchard Supply Hardware. Driveway oil soaks deep into concrete, so if the stains have been there a long time it will continue to “wick” up from the pores and require several cleanings.
It is also true that because of the environmentally friendly formula it simply cannot work as fast as the toxic petroleum solvents we all were accustomed to using that melt oil stains away.
But in any case if it did not meet your expectation we will gladly accept the return. I will email you instructions.
I see that you purchased the Cling N Clean Toilet Bowl Cleaner too, how did that work for you?
R. Phil LittellSeptember 10, 2009, 3:56 am
Dear EDFred,
I found the driveway cleaner totally ineffective. Please contact me to return the remaining four bottles that I purchased.
Thank you,

I recommend edfred products, I have been using this product for years. There came a time when I was unable to find it in Illinois and believe me I went through every product in the meantime just throwing my money and time away. Nothing and I mean nothing out there works but Edfred products and with very little effort your showers will shine, etc. So glad I was able to find Edfred again.
Sandy

Tried shower stall & tile cleaner in my shower stall aaaannnd, nothing happened.
Simple.

Thank you again.

Can’t tell you how happy that makes me! We have been making our products for about 50 years and are dedicated to making the best performing cleaners.

Here at my Adobe Springs Water Co., I have five toilets, and like to keep them clean and presentable. EdFred is the best toilet cleaner I have come across.
Sincerely,
Arlene – a hard working housewife.
I have used Edfred Shower Stall and Tile Cleaner for years and have loved it!! I will now try the other products. Thanks again for your help
After fighting hard water deposits for years, I finally tried Ed Fred Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner.
It is, without question, the best product out there.
I am thrilled with your product. I have never used anything that worked as well. (Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner)

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Really appreciate it. Didn’t expect anything on a Saturday afternoon, so thank you again.
I use the Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner here at work and at home for hard water buildup. It is a truly a remarkable product and I recommend it to all that ask me if I know what works best. It beats C.L.R. hands down.
Thanks for a great product and thanks for the MSDS’s.

Have been using EDFRED for years. We have a black tub and hard water. EDFRED cleans and shines the tub. Use it on tile and toilet too. The only cleaning product I use in the bathroom! Thank you. I just received my 4 gallon case. I am set for awhile.

Thank you.

Sandy
Marcie,
You should be able to buy this from your local Ace Hardware or Orchard Supply Hardware. We sent the OSH buyer a FYI about possible out of stock situations. You can also click on “Retailers” above for complete location information.
I have been using your bowl cleaner for a long time and now I can’t find it anywhere.
I live in the Ceres/Modesto area. (95350) I would like to know where I can find the product. It is the best bowl cleaner I have ever used.
love your product… ONLY thing that would get the brown gunk the tenant built up for who knows how long on the floor of my fiberglass shower stall.love your product…

Thanks.
Jeff,
If any of our retailers are out of stock you should call them and speak to the manager or buyer. Thanks for the comments!
Love the toilet bowl cleaner. Amazing!
God Bless
My wife and I own rental property in Sonoma County. We have used ‘Edfred tub and tile cleaner’ as well as your toilet cleaner for years. We have never had a product which works as well as yours.
We tried the Cling n’ Clean product and were totally blown away at how well it works and with little effort! We are repeat customers. Wish we had found your product earlier.
Highly recommend this product – we keep a bottle in every bathroom – we constantly get black stains/deposits in our toilet bowls and find ourselves using Cling n’ Clean at least weekly.
Thrilled to find you! Hadn’t seen the product in years. Assumed you were out of business or bought out. I’m a Realtor who does a lot of clean-up and staging. EdFred is my all-time favorite products for restoring baths, kitchens, and tile floors. So happy to find it online!”

Thank you. Your product was the only, and I mean ONLY product able to clean the hard water mineral stains off my shower door. Now, go forth and sell a million gallons worth!!
I have used the Shower & Stall cleaner in 1980 when we moved into my parents house (a huge mess). It worked effortlessly then (had to apply it twice… the shower and tubs were awful) and we are still using it today! Can’t say anything bad about this product. Keep up the good work.
I just stumbled over the shower product a year ago.

Steve Muzick

Has anyone had any experience with using this product on the plastic shower pans and tubs? I have a black film building up and have tried everything to get rid of it. I did see the photos for the glass, which I am excited to see if this product works on my shower doors as well. Please let me know if you have had success with the product on shower floors.
I found your site by doing a google search for Ed Fred. We have been using so much of your shower stall and tile cleaner that we wanted to buy the gallon size which neither Ace Hardware or Osh Hardware has in stock.
Thanks,
Linda Peevers
Love Edfred!
Thanks for the suggestions.
PayPal added!
Also can use checking account and most other credit cards.
I can think of only 2 improvements:
1, Add a lemon, grapefruit, orange or some other citrusy scent.
2, Add PayPal as a payment option at the online store.
Thanks for the great story. Don’t forget to try the toilet bowl cleaner too. Toss the pumice stone for those hard water rings.

Don’t ever stop making your products. if you do, let me know. I will buy a case or two. The best toilet bowl cleaner ever made! Now I know about some other products you make and I will try them too! I am a very happy customer. (Also posted review for Cling N Clean Toilet Bowl Cleaner on shopping cart.)
Thank you,
Sue Moorhead
Hope that you continue to be around for many more years…good products, good service and good employees. I placed an order with you all yesterday and it is due to ship shortly. Then I will be back in business…feel like I found a long lost friend. Cordially, Sue
Have tried to find products in Houston but couldn’t; decided to go on-line to see if you had a website. Luckily you DID! Yeah! Your products are wonderful! Thanks – Sue Morris
Just to let you know that lime-deposit-encrusted toilet here in Tularosa NM is now spotless! Wendell said, “That stuff’s a miracle…I had tried everything on the market.” My reply, “I told you it would work!!” Thanks.
Iris
I have used EdFred for years and can purchase it at home in CA…can’t find it here in NM so decided to order it for my host who has a toilet that he can’t get lime deposits out of. I assured him “This will get it out!”
EDFRED, “I think I love you!” This cleaner took all soap scrum off my shower tiles and was so easy to use.
Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner
I live in Orland Ca. and just tried your product. WOW I am in love!!! This product is FANTASTIC thank you for it.
I am assuming you are referring to the Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner. The driveway cleaner is a completely different formula designed for grease, fat and oil.
You can buy online, even just a trial size to test it if you want. Let us know your results.
Thanks for the shipment. I’m lovin my EDFRED!! Can i use what i purchased
for a driveway as well, or do i need to purchase the driveway cleaner? My
husbands truck had a major leak of tranny fluid, and my driveway is very
slippery, and i see some oil stains which i never had before. HELP!!!
Terri,
Send some pictures in and we will post them.
You should see the difference in my daughters tile grout…but she has three bathrooms and I only had enough for one. Her shower is terrible and I know your product will do the job. Thanks so much for the info.
Phil,
We sell a lot of that product, especially through Orchard Supply Hardware.
Dear EDFred,
I found the driveway cleaner totally ineffective. Please contact me to return the remaining four bottles that I purchased.
Thank you,
Phil Littell
Sharon,
We received your toilet bowl before and after pictures and posted them on the “Before & After Photos” page. Your name is credited on the photo names which you can see when you place your mouse cursor on them.
Thanks for taking the time to share these with the rest of us.
It work, it works, it works!!! Finally, a product that works… I have gone through many different products trying to find something that will help clean these toilet stains, finally I tried Edfred. After following the appplication directions I waited 10 minutes, went around the toilet once with a toilet brush, flushed and Voila… it is sparkling clean!!!
