We had a customer contact us about how amazing our Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner was at removing heavy mineral scale from her pool. She said it saved her thousands of dollars that would have been charged by a professional pool company. She happily rediscovered our cleaner at her local Ace Hardware store, and with a few bucks her problem was solved.

(The Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner is best know for removing lime and soap scum from bathrooms and showers, and is sometimes overlooked as an industrial strength corrosion and scale remover.)

We asked if we could come out and see for ourselves, which we did and now have the video available. Check it out!

Tried everything on the market and nothing works for cleaning soap scum in shower? If  you are here you probably have found that most of the bath and tile cleaners don’t do the job well. You know all of the national brands CL.., LimeA…, Ka…., Scrubbing…. and on and on.

The challenge is from hard water stains that form by combining with soap. The hard water minerals combine with surfactants (soaps) to form one of the toughest bathroom cleaning tasks. A weak cleaner of cheap ingredients that is mostly water (and profit!) shifts the work to you. The cleaner should be doing the work, should it not?

Our Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner is made with a stout solution of phosphoric acid and other cleaning agents.

The most common question we receive here at EDFRED runs something like – I am cleaning soap scum in a shower and need to know how do I remove soap scum from glass shower doors? Our Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner is made with a stout solution of phosphoric acid and other cleaning agents. It will melt through the problem, and is our best seller for 45 years now!

Don’t forget it will also clean a soap scum bathtub.

Take a look at the top of our page for customer reviews and before and after photos. You will be glad you did.

Check out our new page about replacing a leaking shower door sweep. (That’s the vinyl strip at the bottom of the door.)

We found a very old and neglected shower for a step by step photo demo. This is not only a repair, but a dramatic example of how to restore a bathroom fixture full of rust, soap scum, corrosion and hard water deposits. You could fix and not replace shower door.

Some amazing photos – here is the link:

Help For Our Unemployed & Charities

There is some real suffering out there for those out of work, and among those trying to manager their charitable organizations on shrinking donations. Please join us in being sensitive to these needs. I doubt if there is anything quite so discouraging as not finding work when you want it, and though none of can meet everyone’s needs sometimes a firm show of support refreshes the spirit.

If you know of a U.S. located charity or unemployed that needs a hand let us know or encourage them to contact us. After we verify the need we will support them with an appropriate donation or discount. And if you yourself are out of work this applies to you to, just ask.

We will not reply on this site but will respond to your email.

We just added Spanish instructions to the gallon size of Shower Stall & Tile Cleaner. We had many restaurants and motels request this for their employees.

We do have a Hispanic version in pints, with a Mango scent instead of the mint. If you want to try the new scent but don’t speak Spanish, instructions are in English and Spanish on the label:

Customer Guarantees, Double Refunds & Product Claims

It is not easy being a consumer with the availability of so many products. We have policy that demonstrates that we will “put our money where our mouth is” and make your choice easy.

So what would create enough financial pain to keep manufacturer product claims realistic? How about double money back?

We like the sound of that. So retail customers that buy at our online store have a double money back guarantee. If we don’t solve your problem, we will take the hit and you make a little profit for giving us a shot.

See the terms on that site:

On The Air – KSCO AM 1080

EDFRED Corporation was pleased to have the opportunity to be given air time on Santa Cruz, California radio station KSCO on December 10, 2009. Don Brown represented EDFRED and local retailers with a brief interview by host talk show host Charley Freedman, discussing the history and products of EDFRED.

(Yes, there really was an Ed & Fred. They were industrial chemists who as an aside to their main business filled a need for industrial grade shower & toilet bowl cleaning formulations for household applications. These gentlemen knew a thing or two about toilet bowl rust and hard water scale!)

The event sponsor was Think Local First – County of Santa Cruz, a organization that promotes the patronage of locally owned businesses. EDFRED Corporation is a member in support of our locally owned retailers. Listeners were encouraged to buy EDFRED “products that really work” from these retailers such as local Ace Hardware Stores and Deluxe Foods of Aptos. These retailers are our most dedicated within the United States, who carry just about everything EDFRED makes.

Thank you Charley and KSCO for being such a great host. We loved the station tour and the chance to meet the rest of the staff faces to the radio voices.

By the way, also in attendance we found Kimberly Parrish of Zag Design Group, the preferred source for EDFRED graphics work. She is not only the “go to artist” for EDFRED but also the bright smile in the crowd at these social events. Cheers Kimberly!

Santa Cruz County retailers should seriously check out the Think Local First link below – they are a great organization.

If you can receive KSCO AM 1080 check out Charlie’s great commute slot show:
